Name: Brooks, L. L.
Historical Note: L. L. Brooks moved to Miami in 1932 and founded the Bonded Collection Agency, Inc., one of Miami's largest property management and rent collection agenices at the time in 1934. He was instrumental in the urban renewal movement in Miami throughout the 50s, 60s and 70s. He was elected mayor of Islandia, FL and during his time in office he spearheaded the movement to abolish the City of Miami. He served in the board of directors of the Christian Hospital and was a founding member of the Orange Blossom Hotel Association. He was married and had one daughter.
