Description:

The Dade County Chapter of The Charmettes, Incorporated, is a sisterhood of dedicated women committed to improving the quality of life within our communities through advocacy, education, service and support for cancer research. Founded in June 1951, the organization was formed based on the ideals, principles and backgrounds of dedicated, diversified women who wanted to make a profound difference in their communities. These empowering philanthropists envisioned a towering organization that would one day become the symbol of finer womanhood representing unified black women of distinction.
