Abstract
This collections contains newsletters, trade journals, a tribute, obituary, report documenting Dr. Jones, and his time as Superintendent of Dade County Public Schools. Additionally there is a menu relating to Dr. Jones business Food Master's Flavor Emporium.
Scope and Contents of the Materials
These materials are a collection of documents documenting some of Dr. Jones achievements during his life. These documents were separated in to six series, Business - Food Master's Flavor Emporium, Journals, Newsletters, Obituaries, Reports, Tributes.
Collection Historical Note
Dr. Johnny L. Jones was born in Greenville, North Carolina on July 26, 1933. He attended Bethune-Cookman, University of Idaho, and Yale University. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1958, and after this began his career in education. He served in various capacities before eventually becoming the Superintendent of Dade County Public Schools. He also was part of many clubs, and fraternities, like Kappa Alpha Psi, Free and Accepted Mason, and the National Order of Elks. He passed on November 29, 1993.
