Scope and Contents: This collection consists of materials relating to the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), collected by The Black Archives. The NAACP was founded in 1909 by people such as W.E.B DuBois and Ida Wells-Burnette. The collection reflects the organization's activities relating to Black politics in Florida. The bulk of this collection is composed of newspaper articles. It also includes promotional flyers, conference programs and one photograph.
