Julia E. Brown is the founder and CEO of JEBA (Julia E. Brown & Associates) Enterprises, Inc., a public relations company. JEBA's sub-companies include: JEBA Entertainment Group, Inc., JEBA Media Group, Inc., Urban Theater and Entertainment Magazine, Inc. (UTEM), The Julia E. Brown Theatrical Association, Inc., and Urban Theater and Entertainment Festival Awards. The Miami New Times newspaper called JEBA a "PR Giant" in 2006. During the 1980s, Julia Brown was Developing Manager and Director of Billings Systems at MHHNPES Federal Credit Union at the Miami Heart Institute, and founded the Urban TV and Radio News Magazine (the only African American TV Guide authenticated by CBS, NBC and ABC). She was also the VP of Southern Sound Records, which she ran with her son, Thomas Brown III. She worked with Ticketmaster to implement group ticketing systems. She has received the following awards: Outstanding Women in Media Award (Phi Lamda Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Chapter, 2003) Marketing Excellence Award (The Glynn Jackson Agency, 2007), City of Miramar URBAN Theater Festival Proclamation (2008), Educating using the Arts Award/5000 Role Models of Excellence (2009). She worked with the following noteworthy playwrights and producers: Laterras Whitfield, Angela Barrow-Dunlap and Je'Caryous Johnson.

Thomas Brown III (Aug. 2, 1959- Dec. 29, 1999) received a trumpet from his father when he was either 5 or 8 years old. His career as a trumpeter began during his freshman year at Miami Central Senior High School. Miami Central Senior High School named him "Trumpet section leader" for Florida's All State Symphonic Band and  "Best Trumpeter in Florida". He was the first African-American to receive the "Best Trumpeter in Florida" award. He later went on to study Jazz at Howard University, earning an Associate's degree. Before releasing his own LP, he worked with the following noteworthy people: Cameo, Barry White, Grace Jones, and Wynton Marsalis. In 1989, he released his debut album with Southern Sound records, titled 'No Turning Back'. He was chosen by Popular Music Company's Martin Browne to revive 'I'm Proud To Be An American,' and 'Happy Birthday America" for America's Bicentennial anniversary.
