As captain of the wrestling team at Miami Jackson Senior High, Cuthbert Harewood, Jr. defeated all challenges. Each victory represented a lesson on how to strategically compete and win and from an early age, he realized those same lessons could be applied to tackle real life challenges. Since then, Harewood's display of winning has been a model of consistency. To stand out more, he legally added 'Broadway' to his moniker. Harewood has successfully branded 'Broadway' in the Miami community, and decided to fight hard to change standards in the Liberty City neighborhood and enhance its image. The corridor and surrounding areas of NW 18th Avenue, from NW 62nd Street to NW 71 st Street is officially designated as "Broadway Avenue" by the Miami-Dade County Board of Commissioners. As a result, the crime rate has steadily decreased, despite the increase in unemployment.

The next objective was to tackle the huge issue of unemployment in the corridor. Using the concept of site control, he decided, in order to have a greater voice, he would become a major player by investing a greater stake in the community. After launching a long-term plan which took approximately 20 years to complete, he became a top stake-holder owner of commercial real estate on Broadway Avenue. Today, Cuthbert is finally the owner of the majority of commercial real estate in the area. As a team builder in the community, he launched new projects to bring about peace, and launched the "No Stray Bullets," which was held on January 1, 2016 at Broadway Park on NW 69th Street. The event was designed in an effort to teach citizens how to celebrate without firing a weapon. Each year, during the Thanksgiving holiday, he donates turkeys to needy families, and mentors to children and young adults. He has traveled to Tallahassee urging the restoration of rights to felons.

Cuthbert's vision is clear: his mission is to see revenue circulating in his community to help residents. His ultimate goal is to become a developer and construct a complex to house veterans. Born on September 22, 1962 at Jackson Hospital, he is a certified pressman by trade, a former Miami Herald employee, and a Longshoreman with the International Longshoremen's Association Local 1416, Miami and member of New Providence Lodge, Miami, PHA. His favorite pastime is relaxing with friends, smoking a great cigar and kite flying. Broadway Cuthbert Harewood resides in the City of Miami Gardens, has five children, Nicole Williams, Brandon Williams, Cuthbert Williams, III, and twins, Michael and Chantel Williams, he has four grandchildren.

Mister Broadway was honored with a proclamation in 2012 by the Miami Dade County Commissioners for his work on NW 18th Avenue.
